| Note
from Cheri:
Welcome to the "Twilight
Zone of Travel." I've always had a fascination with ghost stories,
strange creatures like Bigfoot or the Loch Ness monster, UFO sightings and other
strange phenomena. I'm also a sucker for kitsch and roadside Americana type attractions,
the odder, the better. In my travels, both for business and pleasure, I found
myself accumulating file folders of research on these "Weird Wanderings."
My friends and associates always seemed to love these tales best, so when we launched
Fabulous Travel, it was only natural to devote a channel to my personal
travel hobby. I suspect a lot of you share similar interests. This channel
is brand new, so give it time to grow. We'll be adding new content as it becomes
available to us and as I dig out old files. In the meantime, why not share
your own Weird Wandering experiences in our Weird
Wanderings Message Board. |

| Fabulous Travel Recommends
The
National Directory of Haunted Places This is an
invaluable reference for anyone even remotely interested in the paranormal. There
are over 2000 listings covering all fifty states. Listed alphabetically by state,
city and location, each entry contains a synopsis of what occurred there, an address,
a telephone number (if applicable) and simple travel directions. Covered
are locations of hauntings, sacred sites, UFO sightings, Bigfoot, sea serpents
and monsters and other reportedly true paranormal activities. Readers will shiver
when they learn that no matter where they are, at home or on the road, there is
a haunted location nearby. I can't recommend this book highly
enough. Whether you're seriously into exploring the paranormal, just curious or
merely trying to fill some sightseeing time, this book has something for everyone.
There's fascinating reading here, even if you never visit any of the locales listed.
