Camping and RVing in Big Bear, California

BIG BEAR LAKE, CALIFORNIA, USA -- This mountain resort, just 2 hours from Los Angeles, has a lot to offer campers and RVers including fishing, boating and assorted water sports, awesome hiking, and world class mountain biking, lots of off road opportunities, and much more, set amid some of Southern California's most gorgeous scenery. Whether you're tenting or RVing, you'll find some great places to stay.

Camping in the San Bernardino National Forest

Developed campgrounds have various services and facilities. Most open in May and close in October or November. Some are open all year. The National Recreation Reservation Service handles reservations for most campgrounds. Some are first-come, first-served, and others reserve through the ranger station. Be sure to book early for holidays and weekends. Reservations may be made up to 240 days in advance. Campground prices and seasonal dates are subject to change. Holiday weekends fees may be higher. There may be a charge for extra vehicles.

Family campgrounds generally have vault or flush toilets, fire rings and/or stoves, tables, and parking spaces. Drinking water and showers are available in certain locations.
