OXNARD, CALIFORNIA, USA -- Just a short drive (under 2 hours) from Los Angeles you can find a delightful getaway destination in the town of Oxnard. Participants are chauffeured from restaurant to restaurant via the Channel Islands water taxi for first class appetizers, a fabulous main course and a decadent dessert. In between the three restaurants, you'll enjoy a scenic harbor tour cruise.

The entire evening's activities will last about four hours and is a great way to make dinner special. Even the kids will love it -- and since the price for kids is just $6.00 for the taxi and then price of a kid's meal off the menu, it's a real bargain. In fact, the Water Taxi boat itself looks like a cute character out of a children's book -- its painted on smile and eyes are sure to delight kids of all ages.

During a typical itinerary you'll cruise to your first restaurant choice for appetizers. After noshing, you'll re-board the boat and motor over to your second restaurant for a delicious entrée. After the main course, you'll again board the Water Taxi, cruise around the harbor a bit more before being dropped at the final restaurant for the evening where you'll enjoy a decadent dessert and coffee.

The view from the water looking towards land is gorgeous, with lots twinkling lights festively reflecting off the glassy harbor water. Your "taxi" will cruise past spectacular homes and impressive yachts with the boat's captain acting as your friendly host throughout the evening.

Diners can choose their own progressive dinner itinerary from between four popular harborside restaurants: Drifter's Reef, The Lobster Trap, Sea Fresh Seafood and The Whale's Tail. A small sampling of appetizer choices include Lobster Tacos, Crispy Calamari, Coconut Prawns, Bucket of Clams, Jamaican Grilled Chicken Wings, Sushi, and Shrimp Cocktail. Examples of entrees include Steaks, Prime Rib, Chicken and a huge selection of seafood options (vegetarian dinners are available on request).
