Teach your old RV new tricks! This invaluable book will open up an entire new world to American and Canadian RVers. The authors, who have toured Europe extensively in their own RV, make a compelling case that if you plan to spend 6 weeks or more in Europe, doing it by RV is the most economical way to go. Of course, RVers already know about the comfort and convenience of taking their home along. The Milavskys have thought of everything, so you don't have to, making a European RV trip as hassle free as possible. Along with trip notes and a country-by-country reference of important information, you'll learn about shipping an RV to Europe, figuring costs, getting ready for the trip and preparing your RV for Europe. You'll also know what to expect once you get there, including information on driving in Europe, campgrounds, how to stay in touch with the folks at home and more. If you've ever dreamed about RVing beyond the borders of your own country, this is an absolute must-have reference and I can't recommend it highly enough. If you have an older or second RV, you may just want to permanently store it in Europe (the authors tell you how and where). And lest the thought of driving in a foreign land intimidate you, the Milavskys assure us that because of great public transportation, you never need to tow a smaller "round town" vehicle behind your motorhome. The fact that you can get around so easily via public transportation also makes it easy to avoid narrow lanes, heavy traffic and navigating through cities with your RV. Highway driving there is more or less the same as here (I know, I've done it), with the exception of the UK, where you need to drive on the other side of the street. Still it's not that hard to get used to, and most countries drive on the same side as us.
