Author Notes: Amanda Formaro, mother of four and the Web Mom at TheFamilyCorner.com shared this versatile recipe for flavored butters with us. Use the butters on breads, baked potatoes, steaks, fish or any number of other dishes. They are even handy to take on camping trips to give your dishes quick blasts of flavor.

Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon chili powder

OR

2 teaspoons chopped fresh chives

OR

1 teaspoon chopped fresh dill
Instructions: In a small bowl with wooden spoon, beat 1/2 cup butter or margarine,softened. Add remaining ingredients and beat until well blended.
