Cornmeal Waffles

Author Notes: Waffles are always a great way to start the day. These have a wonderful texture because of the cornmeal. Why not surprise somebody you love with breakfast tomorrow morning?
Ingredients: 1/2 cup cornmeal, white or yellow
2 cups flour
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1-1/2 cups milk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions: Bring 1-1/2 cups water to boil, stir in cornmeal and butter. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. Add milk, flour mixture and eggs to cornmeal mixture. Mix well. Follow directions for your waffle iron to cook.
