Mitch Mandell

Hi, I'm Mitch Mandell and I co-created this web site and serve as the webmaster, graphic designer, business developer, technical guy, and occassional trip taker.

I have over fifteen years of experience in the communications business starting with my first position at Chiat/Day Inc. Advertising, where I was responsible for all multimedia materials produced, including design implementation, project guidance and organization, and budgeting. These skills quickly led me to producing radio and television ads for Porsche, Pizza Hut, Apple Computers, Nissan, Fox Television and Steven Speilberg's television show "Amazing Stories."

I left Chiat/Day in 1988 to work for Fox Television as a television promotions writer/producer. After two years with Fox, I started getting involved with telecommunications, which lead me to the day the in 1993 that I first saw the internet. That was the same day I saw the future.

I was drawn to the internet because of it's unlimited potential. I quickly learned as much as I could. In 1994 my business partner, Cheri Sicard, and I formed Enigma Communications, which designed web sites for a varied number of clients including the Wayne Williams Digital Gallery, Hard@Work, L.A. Circus, Sports H-Q, The Interdent, Southbay Online, Inscape and Celebrity Sightings.

It was only a matter of time before Cheri's love of cooking and travel instersected with my belief in the internet. From that intersection our first website, Fabulous Foods was born. On March 20, 2001, Fab Foods got a sister and Fabulous Travel was born.

When I'm not working you can usually find me at the marina rigging a sailboat for a day on the ocean or with my dog Zoey at the park.
